Displayphone, 1982

This is a Northern Electric Displayphone from 1982 – a precursor to Facetime!

The Displayphone uses normal telephone lines to send video and audio to the far end. Each station includes a camera that scans the user. The power supply is a 12V/5V supply that connects with a DE-9 connector, the same connector used for serial ports.
